Real estate, from buildings to Farms. Their value almost always appreciate. Leasing these out add to the wealth of national fund at least cost. If we run farming, we employ our own, thus provide livelihood to our own and money circulate within M1s before going out again. The control of these is less affected by government mingling. On the other hand we have gold purchase, when we preserve  value is still assured, when we buy for resale a quick profit turnover is guaranteed.
